It was in
Pittsburg,
California on the morning of July --, 19-- at 10:17 when an anxiously, awaiting
couple, the
late
Domingo,
a Navy man, and his wife,
Aquilina
delivered their first daughter into the world. That bouncing, bundle of joy was me...I,
Leilani Tolentino was born!
Ronald
was their first born, then I followed. Afterwards,
Dominic and finally (several years later)
Marie Antoinette joined the family. After
moving from the west coast (California) to the east coast (Virginia) and eventually
settling back in the west coast,
the
whole family resided in
Lathrop, California, of all places...until early 2005,
when mom decided to sell her house & move next door to
Manteca, Califorina! I have since moved on and can now
be located in
Modesto, California
with husband, Edward, toddlers,
Aryana
& Michael, and baby Valene.
We make a great team,
Edward and I, currently
raising six children together, three of those being cats. They are our four-legged babies
and we have one boy and two girls...Tiberius
is our boy, then there is
Xenobia,
and Lady
Kamani. They are definitely a delightful bunch, each one with his/her own unique
personality. Sadly, our oldest cat,
Monster, passed
away in her sleep on August 20, 2000,
Baby on July 27, 2001,
and Natasha on July 9, 2007. They were
all gentle old souls with strong spirits. We will spread
their ashes at our favorite national park.
I used to think that I could wait to have a
bundle of my own and even thought I was too young to consider that at this point in my
life. To date, things have changed, as one life passes, another one comes...my precious
gift arrived just before the anticipated due date of January 25, 2000! Aryana Dominique
surprised us all (the birth story).
Almost two years later, our "MVP", Michael Vincenzo Perillo arrived,
again before the due date, December 15, 2001, then our "VIP", Valene
Isabella Perillo, also born before her due date, February 2, 2004! I love
my family!!!
In order to help support this growing family, I
made the decision to leave my P/T position in the Human Resources Department at
Kraft Foods, Inc. - Post/Kool-Aid
Facility. I loved the position I was in because I had the opportunity to return to school
and continue my education locally at
MJC. With the flexibility of my schedule, I was able to enroll in
classes that further enhanced my skills. Greater interest in learning everything available
immediately arose after handling the company newsletter, Kool-Postings.
My academic interests lie with Computer
Graphics. After discovering
CMPGR 264, Spring Semester, 1998, I owe a great deal to the two
instructors for giving me the opportunity to create this web site. Thanks Chris and Kathy
for allowing me this platform to express myself!
Here is something to ponder...
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are
tiny matters, compared to what lies within us. Just be willing to let your intuition guide
you, and then be willing to follow that guidance directly and fearlessly. Undoubtedly, you
will become what you envisage!"
- A combination of
quotes from "The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher
Creativity" (review
here)
With that, I am on a new journey in
life which you may read now, or
when you have the chance since it's a bit lengthy.
